How do Fitted Flat Sheets keep my partner from stealing the sheets from me?
- Our patent pending design attaches the sides of your flat sheet via zipper to the elastic band at the bottom of your fitted sheet. Now when your partner tries to do the roll and pull on the sheets, they are physically anchored to your side! So they can roll, they can pull, but the sheets will not budge, and they will handle the tug of war battle for you.
Why is it easier to make the bed in the morning with Fitted Flat Sheets
- Fitted flat sheets are attached to the fitted sheet on the sides and at the foot of the bed. So when you toss, turn, kick and do gymnastics in your sleep, your flat sheet does not move on the entire bottom half. In the morning, you just grab the top edge of your sheet, pull to the top, and your done. The sides and bottom are already tucked in because it is zipped all the way down to the elastic band of your fitted sheet.
I am a hot sleeper, how do I get my feet out of the sheets to stay cool?
- Hot sleepers can all agree, it can feel like torture having your feet trapped in a sleeping bag or in those tightly tucked in hotel bed sheets. We strategically designed the fixing locations on our sheets to stay away from the corners. This allows you to always kick your foot out on those warm summer nights to stay cool.
I don't like feeling trapped in tightly tucked in sheets. How can Fitted Flat Sheets resolve that?
- Our patent pending design attaches the sides of your flat sheet via zipper to the elastic band at the bottom of your fitted sheet. However, perhaps the most important feature, is the integration of high stretch material around the zipper. This keeps your sheet tucked in, but allows for lots of give and stretch under the sheet. We have placed this stretch material only around the zipper area so that the organic cooling bamboo is the only material touching your skin.
What is patented and unique about Fitted Flat Sheets?
- Our patent covers attaching your fitted sheet down to your fitted sheet in any manor (ie. zipper, velcro, snaps, magnets, anything). But after testing on many different samples and prototypes, zippers were by far the best!
- The integrated spandex material around the zipper areas allows you to have freedom under the sheets without feeling trapped! Nothing like those hotels beds that feel like they are anchored under the bed trapping your feet in. We have strategically placed the spandex to allow for maximum stretch without covering where your body may be touching.
Why Bamboo?
- Soft and Silky Feel – Bamboo sheets have a luxurious softness, often compared to high-thread-count cotton or silk.
- Breathable & Cooling – Bamboo fibers naturally regulate temperature, keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter.
- Moisture-Wicking – They effectively absorb and evaporate moisture, making them ideal for hot sleepers or humid climates.
- Hypoallergenic & Skin-Friendly – Bamboo is naturally resistant to dust mites and allergens, making it a great option for people with sensitive skin or allergies.
- Antibacterial & Odor-Resistant – Bamboo has antimicrobial properties, helping reduce odor buildup.
- Eco-Friendly – Bamboo is a highly sustainable resource, growing rapidly without the need for pesticides or excessive water.
- Durable & Long-Lasting – High-quality bamboo sheets are strong and resistant to wear and tear, often lasting longer than cotton sheets.
- Wrinkle-Resistant – While not completely wrinkle-free, bamboo sheets tend to resist deep creases better than traditional cotton.
Why is there only 1 size and 1 color option?
- We are bootstrapping this new product and company from the ground up. So minimum order quantities and overall costs have limited us to just a single order SKU to start out.
- Looking for a different size? - We plan to have additional sizes available by June/July 2025.
- Looking for a different color? - Shoot us a message of what color options you would like to see. We will add some color options as we continue to grow. Email us your request: customerservice@thefittedflatsheets.com
Why is it important to wash my sheets before the first use?
- Relaxation of Fibers – Bamboo fibers naturally expand and loosen after washing, making the sheets feel softer and more flexible.
- Natural Softening Process – Unlike some fabrics that break down with washing, bamboo actually gets softer over time due to the structure of its fibers, which become even more supple with repeated laundering.
- Enhanced Absorbency – The first wash improves the moisture-wicking ability of the sheets, which can contribute to a smoother, silkier feel.
- Removal of Residual Manufacturing Coatings – During production, bamboo sheets may have residual starches, or finishes that can make the fabric feel slightly stiff. Washing removes these, allowing the natural softness of the fibers to come through.
To maintain this softness, it’s best to wash bamboo sheets in cold water on a gentle cycle and avoid harsh detergents or fabric softeners (which can leave residues that reduce breathability and softness). Air drying or tumble drying on low heat also helps preserve their luxurious feel.
How do I wash my Fitted Flat Sheets?
- Unzip the sheets – Disconnect to the sheets to do your washer a favor and balance the load. This will also help the life of the spandex material so it is not being pulled on while going through the wash.
- Cold Water - Please set your wash to cool and on delicate. You can also set your washer to whites as needed.
- Bleach? - Bleach can be used as needed. We add 1 scoop of Molly's Suds Oxygen Whitener every time we wash our sheets. It does a great job of maintaining that fresh out-of-the box white!
- Tumble Dry Low - Too high of heat can cause those creases that are next-to- impossible to get out of your sheets and can also damage the bamboo fibers. It is best to have a little patience and let them dry at a nice low heat in the dryer.
I can recycle my bed sheets...? Really?
- YES! Mostly... The bamboo portion of our sheets is 100% organic bamboo. Which means they are biodegradable and compostable in industrial composting facilities. Just cut away the stretch areas and then you may compost the rest of the sheets.
